Enya & Stephen

Enya & Stephen tied the knot in January when there was still a little scent of christmas in the air and the new year had that exciting air of “what is 2018 going to turn out like!  It was a beautiful day full of laughter and smiles and lots of little people running around.  Speaking of little people . . . Enya and Stephen have a gorgeous set of twins; Ollie & Emelia and they very nearly upstaged their Mum and Dad.  Only joking . . . that isn’t even possible (wait until you get a look at these handsome peeps), but Ollie and Emelia played a hugely important role in this very special day.  Nothing like negotiating with a toddlers nap time / snack time / playtime to put everything into perspective and Enya had the whole show running smoothly on her wedding morning.  Naps were had, clothes were ready and waiting and everybody was skipping about with excitement ready for the day ahead.  Enya was S T U N N I N G!  Like  . . . WOW!  Her and her maids had the most beautiful dresses and Christina (Face it) and Morganna did an amazing job with the hair and makeup.

The wedding mass was very special and I don’t think I have laughed as much during a priest’s wedding sermon. When a priest gets some insider knowledge from the best man, it results in the best facial reactions from the congregation.  I think I might make sure that every priest has a little tale to tell in weddings from here on out.  It makes for the very best photos and loosens everybody right up 🙂  Following the “I Do’s” we skipped up the road to The Killyhevlin Hotel in Enniskillen for the reception.  It’s amazing when you can take bridal party photos right outside a venue and when that venue is right on the shores of Lough Erne . . . well . . . it’s the absolute best!  We even managed to stumble across a very cool barge and with some gentle persuasion on my part 😉 (“it’s totally up to you guys . . . but if it was me . . . I’d be jumping right on board there”) . . . Enya & Stephen had a few laughs.  They are so relaxed in each others company and clearly think the world of each other!

Lots of photographers dread family portraits, but I don’t at all.  I think family photos are incredibly special and they are the photos that the whole family enjoy for years and years to come.  Everyday life can be frantic and busy but every once in a while, you get to spend a day with your nearest and dearest, when you all get to wear pretty clothes and those memories last a lifetime!  Enya & Stephen’s family photos with Ollie & Emelia took place in their hotel room, as they were getting ready for bed . . . and they are the cutest shots.  This wedding day was a beautifully emotional & joyous wedding to photograph.  My hard drives are heaving with the results of it all.  Don’t believe me? Start scrolling to see some highlights from this very special day 🙂

Enjoy x
